Camarillo Community Church Ministry Leader Position

Purpose:

The purpose of this ministry is to ensure that the biblical foundation for the philosophy of the equipping church ministry is articulated, promulgated, and understood throughout the church body.

Ministry Goals:

  • Design and implement a churchwide strategy that helps people come to trust that God has gifted them for—and called them to—ministry.

  • Articulate and promulgate the biblical imperatives and spiritual growth outcomes of believers by being connected in the body of Christ for community to use their gifts in service, both inside and outside the walls of the church.

  • Train, encourage and provide support to ministry leaders in understanding and promoting this concept.

  • Facilitate our mission "to build an ever-expanding community of fully devoted followers of Christ."

Position Specifics:

This position serves as Leader for a team of volunteers to accomplish this ministry purpose. Duties include the recruitment and formulation of a team; establishment of team goals and action plans; training and development of team members; communication with other volunteer teams; facilitation and encouragement of the spiritual growth and "community" of team members and the periodic evaluation of team effectiveness. This position may also supervise subordinate ministry team leaders.

Position Qualification, Skills, Gifts, and Abilities:

The person in this position should have a solid biblical knowledge base; training and/or experience in managing resources, and in leading and influencing others; and good communication and planning skills. Spiritual gifts desired include administration, leadership, teaching, and shepherding.

Training and Development:

The person in this position will be provided a full orientation and briefing on the "equipping church" plans for Camarillo Community Church. An IDP will be prepared in collaboration with the supervisor to help perform effectively in the position. This person will be encouraged to attend periodic leadership training opportunities.

Review/Reporting Relationship:

This person will report to a designated staff member who will be a supervisor and mentor to provide periodic feedback on ministry effectiveness.
