About Camarillo Community Church Care Ministry

The Camarillo Community Church Care Ministry began many years ago with the guidance of Daryl Lundberg, Pastor of Membership Care. With the growth of the church and God's leading, Stephanie Patapenka accepted her new role as the coordinator of the Care Ministry in the fall of 2006. We are expanding our outreach to those in our church and community.

Stephanie has a Master of Arts Degree in Couseling Ministries from Denver Seminary. After graduating, she joined Denver Seminary staff as the Counseling Division Assistant. One of the things that she enjoyed most about the position was an unofficial role she played that was a natural expression of her training, experience and personality: providing pastoral care to over-stressed students and professors! She also enjoyed being a founding member of the seminary's Crisis Intervention Team, uniquely designed to provide crisis intervention to churches and religious institutions.

After earning a Master's Degree, she continued studying at the seminary and earned a Certificate in Spiritual Formation. Spiritual Formation may be a new concept to many. Simply put, it is our life-long spiritual journey of becoming more and more like Christ. The certificate helped prepare her to help others who want to grow spiritually and learn how to recognize and experience God's presence in their everyday lives.

She is excited about the opportunity that God has provided to serve. There are current opportunities for you to get involved with the Care Ministry. Contact Stephanie Patapenka at steph@camcc.net.
