David Hurtado is originally from the San Francisco Bay area. He is an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers. David has been involved in full-time ministry for more than 15 years in churches ranging in attendance from 800-2,500 in Sunday attendance.
David met his wife, Meredith, at near-by Church of Rocky Peak in Simi Valley. They have been married for 14 years and have four children, two pre-teens, Audrey and Donovan and more recently Sebastian and Nevaeh, 7 and 6 years old, who they adopted from the foster care system.
David received a Bachelors of Arts in Bible Exposition from The Masters College; a Masters of Divinity from Talbot Theological Seminary; and most recently, a Doctorate from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2014. David is excited about the possibilities for the future here at Camarillo Community Church.
Kenny Kibble has been on the pastoral team of Camarillo Community Church since 1997. He is currently serving as the executive pastor. Prior to this post he was the church’s youth pastor. He was born and raised in Camarillo where he surrendered His life to the Lord Jesus Christ at Camarillo High School during his freshman year. Kenny first felt his calling to ministry when he was eighteen years old and leading a small group Bible study.
Kenny and his beautiful wife Heather were married in 1994. They have two children; Paul and Molly. Their family enjoys traveling, summer lake trips, hiking, snow skiing, and going to Disney parks. Kenny’s hobbies include woodworking, metal working, and shooting.
Kenny has earned two advanced degrees. He completed his Master of Business Administration from California State University Channel Islands in 2008. Four years later in 2012 he graduated from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and Graduate School with a Master of Arts in Theology, where he was honored as a graduate with High distinction for maintaining a GPA of greater than 3.95.
Kelley Reid has been on staff at Camarillo Community Church since 2015 as the Worship Pastor. He has been in ministry since 2003 in various roles such as an Associate Pastor, Executive Pastor, and Worship Pastor in Oregon, Idaho, and California. He was born in Santa Maria and there decided to follow Jesus. His family moved to the Napa Valley where he met his beautiful wife Kimi, and followed her to college.
After 4 years of Kelley’s weekly persistence, Kimi finally said yes to a first date, and they married in 2004. They have a pug named Lucy. They are big “I Love Lucy” and San Francisco Giants fans. They enjoy going to concerts, movies, restaurants, meeting celebrities, and the beach. Kelley enjoys ultimate Frisbee, Ping Pong, Weinerschnitzel, and Chocolate Malted Crunch ice cream.
Kelley has a huge passion for leadership and growth and completed his undergraduate degree in Bible/Theology and Music/Worship with a minor in Counseling from San Jose Christian College which is now William Jessup University. He holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Biola University as well as Master of Divinity from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He also holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Liberty University: School of Business. He has worked with churches and spoken at conferences on strategic growth, assimilation, attrition, and worship.
Jim Moyer serves as CCC’s Pastor of Discipleship and Family Ministries. He joined the staff in July, 2003. Jim and his wife Gayle and family began attending CCC (then known as Camarillo Baptist Church) when they moved to Camarillo in 1994. Jim was born in Corpus Christi TX and moved often growing up, eventually graduating from Mission Viejo High School, where he met his future wife, Gayle Strecker. They were married in May 1980 and had the privilege of raising four children. They now have seven grandchildren and are enjoying every moment with them.
Jim attended the University of New Mexico where he received a Bachelor of Arts in History in December of 1981. He was then commissioned an ensign in the US Navy and began a 20 year career as a navy pilot, retiring out of Point Mugu Naval Air Station in 2001. After retirement, Jim attended Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. He received a Master of Arts in Theology in June, 2003; specializing in Family Ministry and in Small Group ministry. Jim states, “These are exciting times to be engaged in the ministry of discipleship, where I am able to help men and women join in community for the purpose of growing to be like Jesus.”
Daryl Lundberg came to know the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ in 1976 during an alter call at Lakewood First Baptist church pastured by Dr. James Borror. He was raised in Downey California and met his wife Gloria in the 10th grade. They have two sons, Daniel Lundberg married to Shawna and Dennis Lundberg married to Betsy with three children, Abby, Billy and Allison. Daryl and his family moved to Camarillo in 1984 and began attending this church right away. He joined the staff of Camarillo Community Church in 1990 after his career in the wholesale-retail toy industry. With his love for lost people and a mercy heart he has been leading evangelism efforts as well as membership care at CCC.—His favorite verse is Romans 10:14, But how can they call on Him if they have not put their trust in Him? And how can they put their trust in Him if they have not heard of Him? And how can they hear of Him unless someone tells them?
Elaine Francisco is our Pastor of Children’s Ministry. She equips and encourages our teams in leading the ministry programs for children from birth through 5th grade. Elaine grew up in Santa Barbara, CA with her education focused in Early Childhood Education. She became the Pastor of Children’s Ministries at Camarillo Community Church in June of 2005.
“I accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was five years old, and remember vividly a sense of confident assurance as I grew up knowing that God loved me and sent His Son to be my Savior. I believe that experience placed a call on my life to encourage and equip families, and other children’s ministry minded adults, to intentionally and enthusiastically share the gospel with their young children.
Elaine is married to Steve who also serves in the Children’s ministry programs on Sunday Mornings his Honey-do list is long! He is employed in the Public Works Department at Pt Mugu. Together they have two adult sons who reside in Camarillo and have been blessed with 35 years of fun-filled adventures in marriage! When asked to list her favorite activities, walks on the beach, camping, and field trips in God’s World with young children are on the top her list!
Bryan Smith is the Pastor of Youth Ministries here at Camarillo Community Church. He has been on staff for more than 12 years, and he has accumulated 16 years of youth ministry experience at CCC. Bryan achieved a Bachelor’s degree in English from Westmont College, and a Masters of Theological Studies from Liberty University. He has a passion for discipling the youth of Camarillo. Bryan leads Sunday morning youth worship services at 10:45am and small groups for youth every Wednesday, 7-9pm. He also speaks in the main worship service a few times a year. Bryan is the devoted husband of Melissa and the adoring father of three wonderful children: Skylar, Brooklyn, and Barrett. Melissa and Bryan are expecting their 4th child in December of 2015.
John Laubacher is our Pastor of Middle School Ministries here at Camarillo Community Church. The middle school group, Cross Culture, meets on Friday nights and Sunday mornings. John has a passion for encouraging students to take their faith seriously and to live a Christ-centered life. He has been leading this ministry since 2007, after growing up attending this church with his family and attending the youth groups and Awana discipleship program here from pre-K to high school. John holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry from Pepperdine University and an MBA from Pepperdine as well. John leads the group with his wife Joey and an enthusiastic and faithful staff of volunteers. John and Joey have a young son named Peter.
Pastor Ray Kwon is the lead pastor of Korean church here at Camarillo Community Church. He is also the director of The Praise Choir of CCC. He was born in Seoul, South Korea and came to U.S. when he was seventeen years old. Pastor Ray used to be an opera singer, but through physical illness (a kidney failure), God reminded him of the vow he made at early age to become a servant of God. He later received a kidney from his older brother Kevin and by the grace of God he regained his health and became a bond slave of Christ.
He went to The Channel Islands Bible College and Seminary and earned Masters of Ministry degree; he was ordained as a pastor soon after. He is married to his wife Julie who is a classically trained pianist, but now a full time mom, a leader for Discipleship groups, and a full time pastor's wife. Pastor Ray and his wife Julie have two daughters Uriel and Kayla. Pastor Ray's favorite hobby is to sing good old Hymns.
