Connecting to God Through Bible Study

The Bible is the single best resource for finding out what God wants to say to you. Why? Because this is what He wrote to us. It's what He wants us to know. But more than that, getting to know God better through His Word, means we can grow in our understanding of ourselves too.

The Bible is full of insight, explanation, revelation, and inspiration. It reveals God's character and gives you insight into your own. The Bible gives us the measuring stick by which we can determine truth from error. It tells us what God is like.

Bibles & Bible Study Tools

There are many different types of Bibles you can use for studying. There are Bibles written in every day language, Bibles that paraphrase, topical Bibles, read-the-Bible in a year (reading plan) style Bibles and many more. For every learning style, there is a Bible.

Using tools to assist your Bible study can also be helpful. You can uses commentaries, or a concordance. There are Bible studies that can also guide you through the Bible and help you learn about various topics. Tools can be very useful for dedicated study, but you should not discount the putting all tools away, opening your Bible, praying, and asking God's Spirit to speak to you through your reading. Meditation on God's word is one of the most inspiring, enjoyable, life altering activities you can do.

Regardless of how you choose to approach your Bible study, just be sure to do it! God wants to connect with you!
