Connecting with God

Connecting with God is probably the pivotal activity in terms of importance, that any Christian can do. If you're not a Christian right now, maybe you've been on a spiritual search and are wanting to know how to connect to God.  Either way, establishing and keeping (nurturing) a connection with God is what spiritual fitness is all about.

First: Get Connected

God desires a relationship with us. It's that simple. Getting connected to God means we make a decision to accept what He has done for us by sending His son, Jesus, to die in our place on the cross. He came to pay the penalty for our sins, and because of that, we can be free and live forever. He calls every one of us to decide, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him." (Revelation 3:20) Will you connect with Him?

Second: Staying Connected

There are very specific ways we can stay connected to God. Through daily prayer and Bible study, we can communicate with Him, and grow in our understanding of what it means to live the Christian life. God communicates with us through the Bible, and we can communicate with God through our prayers.
