Care Connection Ministry

Care Connection

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trial with the comfort we ourselves have received from God." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

The Care Connection part of the Care Ministry is all about ministry of presence. Our caregivers have been specially trained to come alongside those going through struggles or loss, to be a comforter in times of trouble. Each is not a professional counselor and do not provide counseling, but do provide a loving, listening ear and compassionate heart.

You do not have to be alone when facing struggles. If you would like to meet with one of our caregivers, please contact us. If you are interested in becoming a part of the Care Connection Ministry, please let us know. We will be setting up training as people indicate their interest.

Caregivers are the “After People." They are ready to come alongside you or your friends, neighbors, coworkers, and relatives to provide comfort and support for as long “after” as they are needed.

Purpose of Ministry: The purpose of this ministry is to provide trained, Christian Caregivers to persons in our congregation and community who are experiencing problems or difficulties in their lives.

The Caregiver Ministry is a confidential ministry. Our trained caregivers are assigned (one-to-one) to persons (care receivers) experiencing various life problems. A care receiver’s permission is always obtained prior to the assignment of a caregiver to him/her.

Caregivers and their care receivers meet on a regular, mutually agreed basis. Caregivers provide support and encouragement to their care receivers using their training and “spiritual tools” (such as prayer and Scripture). With faith in Jesus Christ as the “Cure Giver,” they help people cope with the difficulties they may be experiencing.
